President Muhammadu Buhari is expected in Katsina state today en route Daura his hometown, where he is expected to spend the entire Sallah celebrations.
Buhari would land at the Umaru Musa Yaradua International Airport and thereafter use a presidential chopper to fly to his country home in Daura.
Katsina Governor, Aminu Masari, has already taken to Twitter to welcome the President.
He tweeted: “Our leader and President@MBuhari; As we, today, await your arrival to Katsina en route to Daura, our prayers are always with you Sir.”
Buhari’s wife, Aisha, will however be be joining millions of Muslims to participate in this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
Aisha departed Abuja for Mecca, Saudi Arabia on Monday.
