CUPP Spokesman Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere also spotted the need for such bridge building among the different people in the country at the present moment as over the years, more people have been affected a steady growing gulf in tribalism and religious differences.
“It is our conviction, that President Mohammadu Buhari should summon the necessary political will to invite political leaders to a roundtable where they will address issues of equity, justice and cohesion of the country. We believe that Nigeria needs such a deliberation now more than ever before and a quick convocation of such meeting will save the nation from further descending into worst security, economic and other challenges more than the ones we are witnessing now,” Ugochinyere said.
“And based on Governor Bello Matawalle’s antecedents in his state, in engaging tribal and religious divides among his people, which has made him acceptable to all sides of the divides, we urge that the President saddle him with the responsibility of leading a national shuttle for confidence building now,’ he added.
