International Society of Diplomats (ISD) has appointed a distinguished Nigerian, Honourable Orok Orok as Head of African Foreign Direct Investment and International Business Engagements, Office of the Deputy Secretary General, African Affairs of the International Society of Diplomats (ISD).
This appointment is inline with the upcoming Global Diplomacy Summit to be held in Canada in April 2024 .
In his new role, Hon Orok Orok will be responsible for leading and coordinating efforts to promote Africa as an attractive destination for foreign direct investment, working closely with the diplomatic communities and international investors.
He is also to interact with African business leaders to identify opportunities and strengthen economic ties across the continent.
Hon. Orok Orok hails from Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria. He is the Managing Director, Concepts Du Dynamics Limited (CDDL) .
He has served in various capacities including Special Assistant to Former Minister of Finance in Nigeria and Special Assistant to Former Minister of Niger Delta.
Hon. Orok Orok is also a strategy and Planning Director with a renowned world ranking Organization which cuts across the UK, Europe and USA.
This is a well deserved appointment. It would be recalled that In his efforts to attract developmental projects and employments to Niger Delta region in Nigeria, Hon. Orok Orok partnered with notable educational institutions in United Kingdom ( UK) and United States of America ( USA).
According to Hon. Orok Orok in a chat with Prestige News Online, he embarked on this initiative in a bid to find lasting solutions to issues surrounding the problems facing by youths in the Niger Delta region and Nigeria as a whole.
He further stated that the partnership will create a gateway of opportunities for foreign educational institutions, training centres and investors to join hands with people of the region to build a new Niger Delta that is economically prosperous, socially stable, ecologically regenerative and politically peaceful. He added that the initiative would generate massive employments for people of Niger Delta region.
According to Hon. Orok Orok the foreign educational institutions would undertake skills training for youths and people of the Niger Delta to improve their livelihoods and living standards.
“This training courses and empowerment programmes are inclined with the skill acquisition and training programs outlined to develop the youths and provide them with jobs across the globe. Such training courses include ICT, Solar power maintenance and installation, Tailoring and Welding”, Hon. Orok Orok stated.
