His Excellency, Zamfara State Executive Governor Hon Dr. Bello Mohammed MON Matawallen Maradun has paid a condolence visit to the Sokoto State Governor, Rt Honourable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal over the death of Mallam Inuwa Abdulkadir, Former Sokoto State Governor Dr Garba Nadama and Alhaji Isah Muhammad Argungu.
Governor Bello Matawalle said he was in Sokoto to condole with Sultan Saad Abubakar, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Government and the families of the three illustrious sons of Sokoto State who all died recently.
Delivering his condolences on behalf of himself and Zamfara State Government at the deceased persons residences in Sokoto, the governor said he was devastated when he received the sad news of the passing away of Mallam Inuwa Abdulkadir but one has to take solace since it is an act of Almighty Allah that loves him most and he prayed Almighty Allah to reward his soul with Jannatul Firdaus and give his family, Sokoto State Government and the Sultanate Council the fortitude to bear the loss.
He described his death as a great loss not only to his family or Sokoto State Government but a loss to Nigeria considering the roles he played in the development of the then old Sokoto State which comprised the current Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara States as well as Nigeria at large.
Matawalle further said that Mallam Inuwa Abdulkadir was a complete gentleman that believed in siding with the truth no matter what it would cost him and that his legacies of Justice, Fairness and philanthropic activities will remain indelible in the minds of many Nigerians.
Responding on behalf of the Inuwa Abdulkadir family, Sokoto State Governor, Rt Honourable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal thanked Governor Matawalle for leading members of his Executive Council to come to Sokoto and condole with his government, good people of the State and the Immediate family of late Mallam Inuwa Abdulkadir and he prayed Almighty Allah to reward him abundantly.
The Governor later led Zamfara State Governor to the residence of late Former Governor of old Sokoto State Dr. Garba Nadama and late Alhaji Isah Muhammad Argungu to commisserate with their families over the death of two illustrious sons of the old Sokoto State.
He prayed Almighty Allah to reward their souls with Jannatul Firdaus and give the families the fortitude to bear the irreparable lost.
Governor Matawalle further noted that their patriotism and sacrifice to the development of Sokoto State and to Nigeria as whole, will remain a source of joy and happiness to all people of the old Sokoto State.
During the condolence visits, the Governor was accompanied by his Deputy, Barrister Mahdi Aliyu Mohammed Gusau, Deputy Chief of Staff Government House, Dr Bashir Mohammed Maru Commissioners of Special Duties, Environment and Religious affairs, Honourable Muhammad Maiturare Sadiq, Dr. Nuruddeen Isah and Sheikh Dr Tukur Sani Jangebe respectively.
Others include Honourable Umar Sani Katuka, Special Adviser Protocols, Honourable Zailani Bappa,Special Adviser Media and Permanent Secretary office of the Executive Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Jaafar Maradun among others.
