Glo experiences more uptake of Bulk Data service | Prestige News
Technology company, Globacom, has continued to witness an unprecedented growth in the number of enterprise clients using its Bulk Data services.
The self-service portal which allows Glo Enterprise customers to gift data to other customers has become the darling of subscribers owing to its benefits. A certain part of Bulk Data can be used freely for the navigation of a mobile app or website to certain users free of costs to the customer using the app or website. The enterprise customer pays for the service.
While the schools’ Bucket Data Plan which is valid for 90 days avails institutions the grace to purchase Bulk Data for educational use of students, the Gifted Data Plan, on the other hand, has a 30 days’ validity. A sponsor of the Bulk Data can gift data to as many Glo subscribers as the sponsor wishes. Data can also be gifted multiple times to the same beneficiary.
Similarly, a sponsor can gift data in various data sizes including 200MB, 500MB, 1GB, 2GB, 3GB, 4 GB, 5GB or 10GB, depending on the Pack the Gifting customer has subscribed to.
Globacom noted that the product was designed to give SMS notification on the gifted data to the beneficiary. This particular product can be customized to suit a sponsor’s likes differentiating it from others in the market.
“The gifted plans can be customized to the needs and request of the sponsor, while the beneficiaries of the Bulk Data gifting can check their own balance by dialing the USSD code, *127*0# on their own devices”, Glo explained.
The company further said that the Bulk Data service is only available to bulk data buyers, such as corporate organizations and schools, including tertiary institutions.
