Stakeholders in Ifako-ijaiye Constituency II of Lagos State House of Assembly Wednesday poured encomiums on Hon. Makinde Rasheed Lanre during the Lagos State House of Assembly Constituency Stakeholders’ meeting. Hon. Makinde is representing Ifako-ijaiye II at Lagos State House of Assembly for the second term.
Notable politicians, traditional rulers, party leaders, market women, students, youths, technocrats and artisans all came out to praise Hon. Hon. Makinde for his laudable contributions to the development of Ifako-ijaiye. In the same vein, stakeholders presented their developmental demands to their amiable representative at Lagos State House of Assembly.
In his speech, Hon. Makinde thanked the stakeholders for their Constituency and steadfastness. According to him, this year’s meeting aimed at promoting legislators- constituents’ interaction and engagement; and engaging constituents in the art of governance and ensuring that their input count in the affairs of the State. Theme of this year meeting is Environmental Challenges: Community Engagement to Facilitate Lasting Solution.
The Lawmaker also stated that Lagos State House of Assembly is appealing to residents to comply with the Environmental Laws of the State, embrace attitudinal change and join hands with the Government in a renewed commitment to preserve the environment.
