- Entertainers Say “We’re Happy To Be Ambassadors To This Laudable Project”
It was an enthusiastic moment when the popular and prestigious Celebrity Journal Publishers’ Association of Nigeria CJPAN rolled out her second edition of Clean Up Lagos, its Corporate Social Responsibility CSR in order for the reputable Association to contribute its quota to the society and Nigeria at large. The event which was held on Thursday August 31, 2023 at Awolowo way, adjacent gigantic glass-house building besides computer village in Lagos State Nigeria.
The cleaning exercise began around 8:30am, when all members of the Association assembled and joined by the ambassadors of the exercise such as Alhaji Sulaimon Adio Atawewe together with his colleagues in the entertainment industry, a notable actress, Foluke Daramola-Salako commenced the cleaning exercise at about 9:am
According to the popular musician, Atawewe, there is need to support the cleaning exercise as well because Government alone can’t do it all since they ( musicians) make money in public,
He, however, encouraged other celebrities/personalities to partner with the CJPAN on this laudable project in its subsequent events.
“Let the train moves on” He concluded.
In a similar development, Foluke Daramola commended CJPAN for the quarterly CSR initiative of the clean up exercise in Lagos State.
She felt happy to be part of this memorable event/ project, noting that the initiative is centered on general environmental sanitation exercise for stable of the forth estate of realms.
CJPAN’s President and Workaholics Publisher of Islander Magazine/online, Mr.Olarewaju Mohammed noted that the cleaning exercise is a laudable environmental sanitation event, which doubles as the association’s Corporate Social Responsibility aimed to give back to the society.
He maintained that if our environment is cleaned enough it will definitely reduces unwanted diseases in our community and society as it will save us from whatever epidemics ravaging the world.
Alhaji Mohammed also described the exercise to clean up Lagos and its environ, as the Association’s quarterly event and pleaded with corporate organizations to partner with CJPAN.
CJPAN is out to support the cleaning of the environment from one Local government to another during environmental activities/exercise and it would be a continuous exercise, he added.
Meanwhile, The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) who supported the maiden edition threw their weight behind the 2nd edition as their truck arrived at the venue in time to ensure that the exercise recorded a huge success.
It would be recalled that the maiden edition took place last year at Agege Local government and will transverse other parts of local governments in the state.
