At 25: NDDC constructed solar-powered water system in Akpaa Mbato, Obi Ngwa, Abia State
PORT HARCOURT, Nigeria – The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC has continued to touch the lives of people living in all parts of the Niger Delta region, helping to cater for their immediate needs.
In order to mitigate the needs of residents of Akpaa Mbato, in Obi Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia State who are battling with the problem of water scarcity, the NDDC constructed a solar-powered water system in the area.
This initiative, by the NDDC avails pipe-borne water to the immediate community and neighbouring areas.
Efforts such as this put up by the NDDC are very crucial in preventing water-borne diseases like cholera and in the process enhancing the quality of life of people in the Niger Delta region.
