Former Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode on Friday visited President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.
Ambode has not been in good terms with Tinubu since he lost the governorship ticket to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in 2019.
The visit showed that the duo have cemented their broken relationship and are now back together again.
Signs that their rift has ended was when Sanwo-Olu issued a statement showering encomium on Ambode on his 60th birthday.
The governor did not stop at that. He visited Ambode in his residence to felicitate with him on his 60th birthday,
Ambode then attended a party hosted by Sanwo-Olu in honour of Tinubu at the State House, Marina, where he first met with Tinubu and former Governor Babatunde Fashola.
Yesterday’s visit showed that something good is in the pipeline for Ambode. He was so lively and happy on meeting with the president.
The duo were locked in a closed-door meeting at the State House, Abuja.
However, unconfirmed reports have it that the former governor of Lagos might be made a minister or go to the Senate, as the president is planning to pull out Senator Tokunbo Abiru from the Senate.
