CONSPIRACY, KIDNAPPING AND MURDER
This consists of three different deadly kidnapping syndicates of young men, who have serial records of kidnapping and killings in the Southwest zone. These youngsters recently kidnapped a serving woman police inspector and an operative of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ogun State and collected ransom before setting them free. Receiving information on this marauders, I directed my Monitoring Tactical Unit to ensure they track down the heinous perpetrators, of which six (6) of them who operated in three different groups, were nabbed. It was later discovered that these criminals from the pit of hell mounted a road block on Ayetoro-Abeokuta Road in Yewa area of Ogun State during which the woman inspector ran into them on 4th May, 2020 at about 5:25pm around ayetoro. While they were manhandling her, the driver of a car coming behind attempted to escape their onslaught but had to pay with his dear life. These heartless animals in human skin, targeted the driver and opened fire on him. Sadly, their bullet hit him and he died. Thereafter, the other female occupant of the vehicle was kidnapped alongside the woman inspector, taken into a forest for three days before releasing them, after payment of ransoms by their relatives.
In the case of the NSCDC official, he kept some cattle in the custody of one of these boys to graze. It was this employer of his that gave him out to the gang. Identified as Are, he was kidnapped on his way to the farm at Eggua in the Yewa north Local Government Area of Ogun State. He was held in captivity for three days in the forest before he regained his freedom on the payment of N3million ransom. Similarly, one Alhaji Oro, a big time cattle rearer, who had his farm in Eggua, was kidnapped on his way to the farm, held for four days. Despite payment of the demanded N4m ransom, these boys shot and killed him. These groups traced another target, identified as Umaru at Awaiye in Oyo State, trekked from Ogun State and were on the road for two weeks. They ambushed him on his way to the farm and successfully seized him. He was in their captivity for two days and were able to meet the kidnappers’ demand of N1m for his release. In another development, these syndicates targeted one Alhaji Adegoke, near Iseyin in Oyo State, during which they made a demand of N25m ransom from his relatives. But while that was on, one of them with AK47 rifle was on his guard while others went out for yet another operation. It was at this point that fate played in the victim’s favour. The man on guard slept off and ALHAJI Adegoke escaped. He cleverly hid himself in the forest to the extent that, on realizing his escape, the raging kidnappers, in their large number, scattered into the forest, shooting sporadically with the intention to have him killed. But, today, the man is hale and hearty while six of the evil perpetrators are here with us, to pay for their longtime evil deeds.

CASE OF OBTAINING BY FALSE PRETENCE AND STEALING
This is a case of a United States-based Nigerian lady, who has a vision of setting up a business back home. She managed to own a farm in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Precariously, she was introduced to this fraudulent man, Sylvester Ehiarinmian, 43, as capable of providing her with security to and from the farm. Lo and behold, Sylvester made a love advance to her, despite being married with children, and promised marrying her. Naively, the lady swung into the fraudulent Sylvesters’s net and was defrauded neatly. When the lid was blown out her eyes, the lady forwarded a petition to my office and I instructed the Zonal Tactical/Monitoring Unit to go after the suspect, from whom four Sienna Space buses, a Toyota Highlander SUV Jeep and landed properties, comprising a storey building, an undeveloped plot of land, both in Apo area of Abuja and another two plots in Wasa area of Abuja, all belonging to the victim, were recovered from the suspect. Yet to be recovered from him are a Mikano Generating set, two duplexes in South Africa, the sum of $15,000 US Dollars he fraudulently obtained from her, to procure visa for the victim’s sister, another $10,000 US Dollars he proposed to purchase carpets for an office they both agreed to operate and N40million for the establishment of a medical laboratory.

ATTEMPTED MURDER, CULTISM AND PALACE INVASION
Over a period of time, reports reaching my office on the activities of cultists in Isiu near Ikorodu, were quite disturbing. Each time these hoodlums strike, they hold the entire community hostage, during which all socio-economic activities in the community are grounded. Shops, schools and all businesses in and around the town are forced to close down, with people, young and old scampering for safety. Several persons have had to fall victims of circumstances, either killed or maimed, with several properties destroyed each time they go on rampage. I detailed my men from the Monitoring Unit to the troubled community and, they have been on the trail of the hoodlums for a very long time. However, in their usual mode of operation, on ….the hoodlums, numbering over 20 and wielding guns, invaded the palace in Isiu, shooting sporadically, even into the palace. But, while exhibiting their madness, youths in the community resorted to reprisal and successfully apprehended two of the marauders and inflicted serious injuries on them. The quick arrival of officers of the Zonal Monitoring Unit rescued them from mob, who were determined to kill them. The y were rescued and taken to the hospital for treatment.
