Barely 48 hours after penning a lucrative deal with coca-cola, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has announced another ground-breaking deal.
For the first time, the Super Eagles will have an official insurance service provider thanks to Wapic Insurance Plc.
The official signing of the partnership agreement took place in Lagos on Friday.
In attendance at the event was NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, first and second vice-presidents, Seyi Akinwunmi and Shehu Dikko, as well representative from Wapic.
Unlike the deal with the beverage giants, Dikko refused to divulge the monetary value of the deal but revealed that it will run for five years.
“This relationship is for 5 years with an option of renewal. They will ensure all our players and events,” Dikko revealed during the ceremony.
Akinwunmi, added: “WAPIC paid the first salary of the Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr. So this relationship did not just happen out of the blues.”
